A 3D-Printed Home Model, Built From Their Actual House

Most closing gifts get used once, or never — a bottle of wine, a cutting board, a candle that's gone in a month. A 3D-printed model of the home you just closed doesn't disappear into a drawer. It's built from photos of their actual house, not a generic house shape, and it sits on a shelf or a desk with your name on the base long after the gift basket is empty.

Who Gives These

Realtors

A model of the buyer's own home is a keepsake they actually display — and every time it's on a shelf, your name or your brokerage's logo is on the base with it. It's the rare closing gift that keeps working as a referral reminder instead of getting used up.

Lenders & Loan Officers

In a referral-driven business, the close is the moment that earns the next call. A model of the home they just financed is a gift built specifically for that buyer, not a branded pen or a gift card — and it's memorable enough to be the thing they mention to a friend.

Builders

For a custom or spec-home closing, a model of the finished house is a milestone piece for the homeowner — the same idea as custom 3D-printed building models for general contractors and developers, sized for a single homeowner instead of a project team.

How It's Made

Send a few photos of the house — a street view, the front elevation, whatever you'd shoot pulling into the driveway — along with the address. No blueprints, no Revit file, no site visit. Most realtor and lender orders start exactly this way, since a buyer's home almost never has a design file sitting around the way a construction project does.

From those photos, the house gets modeled and then printed in-house on a professional 3D printer, in PLA, in up to five colors — so the finished piece can actually match the home's real materials (brick, siding, a painted door) instead of one flat plastic tone. PLA softens at around 140°F, so keep it out of a hot car and direct sun. Windows print as clean recessed openings rather than solid plastic. The whole process is run by someone with 10+ years in construction and VDC, including 4 years on-site — the same background behind the scale models built for general contractors on active pursuits.

What's Included

  • An engraved display base

The address, the buyer's name, or the closing date, engraved directly into the base at no extra charge.

  • A logo on the base

Yours or the buyer's, included at no charge with a vector file (SVG, AI, or EPS).

  • 10-inch, multi-color

The closing-gift size: printed in up to five colors so brick, siding, roof, and a painted door read as the real house.

  • Turnaround: 2–4 weeks depending on workload.

A single home prints in well under a day — production and shipping are what set the real schedule. Tell me the closing date up front and I'll confirm what's possible.

  • All prices in US dollars.

Every price on this page and in your estimate is in US dollars.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need blueprints or a Revit file to build a home model?

No — photos are enough. A street view, a front elevation, and the address are usually all it takes. If you do have a Revit file, a floor plan, or an architect's drawing, that helps, but it's not required.

Can I order a model of a home as a closing gift?

Yes — photos or plans of the home are enough to get started; you don't need a file already prepared. A 10-inch multi-color model is $800, with an engraved base (address, name, or closing date) and your logo from a vector file included. A second copy of the same house is $400.

How long does it take?

Plan on 2–4 weeks depending on workload. Tell me the closing date up front so the model is ready in time.

Can I put my name or my brokerage's logo on the model?

Yes. Every model ships on a display base with an engraved name, address, or closing date, and a logo can be added at no charge with a vector file (SVG, AI, or EPS).

How is this different from a generic house figurine or an Etsy model?

It's built from photos of the actual house — the real proportions, the real roofline, the real front door — not a stock house shape with an address sticker. It's also printed in-house in the US, by someone with a construction and VDC background, not shipped from an overseas print farm.

What if I need it by a specific closing date?

Tell me the date up front when you request an estimate. A single home prints fast, but I'd rather give you a straight answer on what's realistic than promise a date I can't guarantee once shipping is factored in.

Is pricing in US dollars?

Yes — every price on this page and in your estimate is in US dollars.
